Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reported that according to Country Brand Index Award 2006 (CBI), Thailand has been voted to be the Best Country Brand for Value for Money. This research has been done through online questionnaires and phone interviews with over 1500 people, combining with asking some travelling experts from all over the world.
With 11.52 million visitors in 2005, Thailand had 367,380.36 million baht income from all tourism related businesses. The average staying was 8.20 days per person and the average spending per person/day was 3,890.13 baht.
